Calling all Micro Cinema Filmmakers: The Dallas Video Fest again supports small format film making with the 2009 Guts and Glory Film Race where teams shoot either a Super 8mm or 16mm Film in-camera/in-sequence and then must do the audio live during the screening a week later. (while they're seeing their movies for the first time!)
Some filmmakers do live music performances to their films, some do Voice Over and some do stand-up comedy style narration. It's all in good low-fi-fun!
The newly formed small format company - Texas MicroCine - is supporting the event with cameras for teams and Super 8mm projectors at the screening.
