or thats what they should have called it this year. Virtually every major company was showing something in 3D!
The biggest was Autodesk who showed new versions of Maya, Motion Builder, Toxik and Lustre all with the ability to view Stereoscopic images from within their interfaces!
Autodesk highlighted all of this with a 3D workflow viewing event at the historic Shrine Theater for their big User Group party.
Other companies showing stereo Workflows included Eyeon with Fusion 6; and Iridas which showed Stereo playback in Speedgrade DI using PNY graphics cards
various 3D LCD Display companies at the show included IZ3D, Alioscopy, (even know doesn't require glasses at all, I dont quite think its ready for primetime). Also in many booths was True3Di ,
in other Animation software updates, Avid's Softimage showed off XSI 7 which features a new technical architecture called ICE which is a way for TD's to easily create FX and workflows without writing code from scratch. Softimage heavily promoted ICE and even had Vanilla Ice show up at their party and do Ice Ice Baby (!)

It's a shame you didn't make it to the back to our booth. Digital Ordnance was showing live uncompressed 4;4:4 stereo capture and play back using our ReadyStor and Frame Thrower products.
